Principal Purpose of Job:
The Victory Television Network (VTN) seeks a full-time Master Control Operator. Position is responsible for the video and audio integrity of all VTN signals. Position is full time and must be available for all shifts including weekends, holidays and the possibility of overnights as VTN is on the air 24/7.

Work Environment:
The Victory Television Network (VTN) headquarters are located on a 12-acre campus at 701 Napa Valley Drive in west Little Rock. Duties are primarily performed in the climate controlled Master Control facility on the VTN First Floor with access by exterior doors with wheel chair ramp. Position requires sitting for the majority of each shift.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing signals from all VTN TV station transmitters.
  • Monitor TV station transmitter health via remote software.
  • Air all VTN TV programming utilizing automation software.
  • Record, edit and upload programs from media files (FTP), satellite and DVD.
  • Assist engineering in identifying and troubleshooting problems in Master Control or at VTN tower/transmitter sites.
  • Follow emergency protocols to fix off-air or security problems.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Applicant must be versatile and capable of learning specialized software applications, and have an aptitude for operating electronic equipment.
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment, capable of working under pressure and skilled at performing and tracking multiple tasks   during each shift.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shift hours including weekends, and holidays.
  • TV or radio board operator or master control experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $11.50 – $11.75 per hour

Traffic Assistant

Principal Purpose of Job:
We seek a Traffic Assistant for our Arkansas-based Christian TV station group headquartered in Little Rock.

This position assists the Traffic Director in the preparation of our TV stations’ daily on-air logs, along with the administration of program, promotional, and commercial inventory.

Work Environment:
The Victory Television Network (VTN) headquarters are located on a 12-acre campus at 701 Napa Valley Drive in west Little Rock. Duties are primarily performed on the VTN First Floor with access by exterior doors with a wheelchair ramp.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Daily use of TV station traffic software to schedule inventory.
  • Assist in creating, editing, entering, proofreading, and reconciliation of daily logs, and traffic instructions.
  • Process new program and commercial agreements.
  • Complete affidavits for programming in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing FCC-required reports. Create and distribute other daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Communicate traffic, payment, and billing information with Traffic Director, Accounting, and management as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Associate’s Degree required, or relevant experience working in an office, TV, or radio station.
  • Computer literacy in applicable programs (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Have excellent organizational and typing/filing/clerical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines.
  • Be a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have a pleasant personality.
  • Knowledge of broadcast traffic software is a plus.
  • Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing including follow-up.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.

Salary Range: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour

Program Producer

Salary Range: Commensurate

Principal Purpose of Job:
The Program Producer will produce VTN’s daily 30-minute program, Arkansas Alive and the weekly 30-minute program, Happy Caldwell and special projects.

Work Environment:
Duties are performed inside the main TV station facility and field shoots away from the main facility. While a significant amount of the duties are performed inside climate controlled facilities, some duties are performed outside as needed from time to time in all four seasons and a variety of weather conditions.

Essential Job Functions:
Producer/Editor for Arkansas Alive. 5 daily programs recorded as live each Tuesday.

  • Coordinate with host on topics/guests.
  • Script writing.
  • Produce, shoot and edit video packages and program promos.
  • Crew scheduling, program logs, graphics, guest info, etc.
  • Post-produce program episodes.
  • Encode episodes for specific platforms.

Producer/Editor for Happy Caldwell, 30-minute weekly program.

  • Edit weekly episodes using outside footage from speaking engagements.
  • Plan broadcast calendar according to footage availability.
  • Produce and edit program promos and product spots.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ year’s successful experience as a live TV show Producer.
  • Must be comfortable in a control room and studio and be able to use standard video production tools to tell a story from conception to completion.
  • Experience as a Producer in the Christian television format is a plus.
  • A shared interest in touching the lives of viewers with uplifting Christian content.
  • Script writing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed
  • Verifiable time management and project management skills are critical.
  • Must be highly proficient in non-linear video editing; Final Cut experience preferred.
  • Strong Photoshop skills.
  • Proficient in building graphic elements for programs, promos and social media.
  • Social media- Must understand it, use it and know its place in society.
  • Must be familiar with various video compression formats in order to re-purpose video for online use.
  • Good people skills needed to work closely with host and high profile guests.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
